Kash Rehman | President & Ceo
Prior to founding Foodservice Contracting, LLC in 2015, Mr. Rehman found success in many facets of the food service market space.
After experiencing firsthand how a lack of pricing transparency and manual order processing increase costs and impair customer satisfaction throughout the wholesale food supply chain, Mr. Rehman founded Foodem.com in 2010. As Director of Operations for a broadline food distributor, Kash managed company-wide food procurement, sales, marketing, logistics and customer service departments and had full P&L responsibility.
From 2002 to 2008 he grew revenue from $2,000,000 to $12,000,000 by expanding the company’s product offering, by using traditional and online channels to better market to the existing customer base, and by obtaining the company’s first federal and Maryland state government agency contracts. In early 2004 he launched King’s Park Café, the first ever Internet café and restaurant in College Park, Maryland. He increased sales 10% month-over-month for nine consecutive months employing a marketing and discount strategy that focused on low prices without sacrificing the quality of food and service. Selling the business to a Chinese Restaurant Chain (Shanghai Café) after 23 months produced a 3X return on investment.
As a Business Analyst with business and technology consultants BusinessEdge Solutions, Inc., Mr. Rehman worked on the planning and implementation of several projects for NEXTEL, including a Wireless Number Portability Program.
Kash was part of the MindShare class of 2012, an invitation-only networking group for the CEO’s of high growth companies in the D.C. area, and he was also nominated for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award for 2012. He graduated from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Management and Information Systems.
